Apple posts Remote 2.0

Apple has released Remote 2.0. The new version of the iTunes and Apple TV remote control app adds iPad and Retina Display support. It’s free and available at the Apple App Store.

You can now control iTunes and Apple TV shared libraries from your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Remote 2.0 adds support for iTunes 10 and the Apple TV “Take Three.” It also supports Home Sharing.

Certain English, Tasmania students getting iPhones, iPads

More than 500 medical students at the University of Leeds are being issued with iPhones which can access online text books, reports the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-11427317). And the Tasmanian Department of Education and Training has revealed over 30 iPads are being trialled in a number of schools across the state, notes “Computerworld” (http://www.computerworld.com.au/article/362432/ipad_trials_hit_tasmanian_schools/).
