Ascender offers fonts from the Hallmark Design Collection

Ascender Corp., a provider of font products, has entered into an agreement with Hallmark Cards to distribute fonts from the Hallmark Design Collection, a set of script and lettering-style typefaces.

The Ascender type development team collaborated with Hallmark to produce the fonts in TrueType and OpenType formats, and is making the fonts available for licensing and instant download from Ascender’s font web sites. iPod touch gets a substantial touch-up

I’ve liked the previous incarnations of the iPod touch; I like the latest model even more as it adds still more features. The gorgeous, svelte touch can now record HD video and supports FaceTime video calling — as well as doing everything it did in prevous versions.

The iPod touch remains a joy to use. Once you turn it on, there’s a “slider” at the bottom of the screen that you use to “unlock” the iPod for use.

What should Apple do with Final Cut Pro?

In February it was announced that Apple had cut some staff working on its Final Cut video editing software suite. Some folks took it as a bad sign, that Apple was ignoring the software — indeed, all its pro level software – to focus on consumer products (specifically, iOS devices).
