Apple ordered to pay damages to Mirror World

Apple has been ordered by a jury to pay damages to Mirror Worlds for infringing patents related to how documents are displayed on a computer screen, reports “Bloomberg” (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-10-01/apple-loses-mirror-worlds-trial-over-document-display-patents.html). The federal jury in Tyler, Texas, awarded $208.5 million in damages for each of the patents infringed.

iTunes virus making the email rounds

A message from do_not_reply@itunes.com has been plaguing iTune users’ inboxes, reports “WKBN” (http://www.wkbn.com/content/news/local/story/iTunes-Virus-Hits-Emails/rqUBLViS8EWcZZp0PkQmNQ.cspx). It claims you owe money — and even some without iTunes accounts have received the email, the article says. 

Representatives from Apple said this is a very new virus and they are working to get the issue under control.They said to delete the email from your inbox and do not click on any of the links provided.
