Nova media (http://www.novamedia.de/devices/isync) has released a new version of its iSync phone plug-in, adding compatibility with new cell phones, N8 and C7, from Nokia. The latest release also works with Nokia phones C5, 5235, 5233, 5232 as well as with Sony Ericsson phones J20, J10.

iSync synchronizes data from Address Book and iCal with a mobile phone and is part of Mac OS X. The nova media iSync phone plug-ins extend the number of mobile phones which could be used with iSync.

Publicspace.net has updated The Big Mean Folder Machine (http://www.publicspace.net/BigMeanFolderMachine/), a file/folder management utility for Mac OS X, to version 2.0.8. The new version allows folder hierarchies to be split based on legacy creator and type code information.

Zengobi has released Curio 7.0 (http://www.zengobi.com/curio), an upgrade of the note taking, mind mapping, brainstorming, and task management application for Mac OS X.

Sorenson Media (http://www.sorensonmedia.com) has announced Vid.vu, an URL shortening service designed specifically for professional online video.

The web-based URL abbreviating service works with Sorenson Squeeze Server, the company’s scalable, cloud-based, enterprise-grade encoding solution to be formally released in November. Vid.vu demos were part of Sorenson Media’s presentations at last week’s Streaming Media Europe conference in London .
