Yojimbo for Mac OS X updated, iOS version debuts

Bare Bones Software (http://www.barebones.com) has released Yojimbo 3.0, an upgrade to the information organizer for Mac OS X. It supports synchronizing items to the new Yojimbo for iPad and includes direct scanning support for TWAIN-compatible devices.

The new version also includes fixes to reported issues and additional refinements. Yojimbo is an Universal Binary application that requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later, and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”). Version 2.2.1 is a free update for registered 2.0x users.

‘MacVoices’ looks at Tungle

Apple wins patents for MacBook Air, iChat, more

Apple has won two design patents (D625,716 and D625,717) by the US Patent & Trademark Office for the MacBook Air. The inventors are Bartley Andre, Bartley Daniele De Iuliis, Evans Hankey, Richard Howarth, Jonathan Ive, Steve Jobs, Duncan Kerr, Shin Nishibori, Matthew Dean Rohrbach, Peter Russell-Clarke, Douglas Satzger, Christopher Stringer, Eugene Whang and Rico Zorkendorfer

Apple was also granted a patent design (number D625,733) for its iPhone compass icon, invented by Fredy Anzures. Other patents won by Apple are as follows.
