TopXNotes for Mac OS X adds note syncing with iOS devices

Tropical Software (http://www.tropic4.com) has updated TopXNotes, the note organizer for Mac OS X 10.5 and higher, to version 1.6.1. It now has note synchronization with iOS devices including iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

This new capability builds on TopXNotes 1.5 which modernized the User Interface including a new, taller, customizable toolbar with larger icons, a rewritten NoteOrganizer, two-finger scrolling, new icons, and several cosmetic improvements. Version 1.6.1 is a small update with minor feature additions, changes and fixes.

NEC introduces new desktop monitor series

MultiSync EA192M and 20-inch widescreen MultiSync E201W to the desktop product lineup.

Compared to previous generations of NEC’s desktop LCD monitors, the LED backlight technology in both the MultiSync EA192M and E201W allows less greenhouse gas emissions, and reduces power consumption and heat radiation, according to Lynn Gu, product manager for NEC Display Solutions. These new LED-backlit models also use more recycled plastics, less hazardous materials and are mercury-free, a significant advantage when compared to conventional CCFL-backlit LCD monitors, he adds.
