Singular Software, developer of automation applications for
post-production, has announced that its flagship product PluralEyes
1.1 for Final Cut Pro has expanded its support for non-linear editing
applications to include Sony Vegas Pro.

Designed for time-conscious video professionals, PluralEyes offers
workflow automation tools for analyzing media content and
synchronizing audio and video clips, including DSLR (digital single
lens reflex) camera images.

Other World Computing (http://www.macsales.com) has announced the OWC
Mercury Extreme Enterprise SSD (http://macsales.com/ssd), a 2.5-inch,
SATA Solid State Drive (SSD) for Macs and PCs in single or multiple
drive use including all RAID configurations.

It’s available for immediate ordering in capacities up to 200GB with
prices starting at US$229.99 for a 50GB version. A 100GB model is

iPresentee (http://www.ipresentee.com), a developer of add-ons for
Apple’s iWork and iLife applications, has released Keynote Motion
Themes HD 9.0, a package of five new themes to be used with Keynote.
Keynote is Apple’s presentation component of the US$79 iWork suite.

New themes package includes: Blue Illusion, Red Illusion, Green
Illusion, Black Illusion and Yellow Illusion. Forty seven more
designs are carried over from the previous version. New Keynote
Motion Themes are available in standard and HD formats.

Synology America Corp. has released DiskStation Manager 2.3 beta,
which introduces new features for business and home users including
backup to the cloud with Amazon S3,Volume Manager, a live view of
Surveillance Station with DS cam iPhone app and more.

Additional new features include the Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) that
simplifies the RAID setup by optimizing the disk capacities with data
protection when different sized hard drives are used, says Doug Self,
product specialist at Synology America Corp.

Apple has announced financial results for its fiscal 2010 first
quarter that ended Dec. 26, 2009.

The company posted revenue of US$15.68 billion and a net quarterly
profit of $3.38 billion, or $3.67 per diluted share. These results
compare to revenue of $11.88 billion and net quarterly profit of
$2.26 billion, or $2.50 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.
Gross margin was 40.9 percent, up from 37.9 percent in the year-ago
quarter.
