Enhance Technology (http://www.enhance-tech.com) has released the UltraStor ES3160 FS dual-active Fibre RAID SAN storage solution. It’s the latest addition to the UltraStor enterprise storage line, featuring dual active RAID controllers, high data bandwidth, cache mirroring, load-balancing and WebGUI all in 3U 16-drive rackmount system.
It touts Microsoft Multi-path I/O and Windows Server Clustering validation and offers high-performance through 4x 4G Fibre Channel connectivity. The ES3160 FS is equipped with dual-active RAID controllers and dual 500W redundant power supplies to keep workloads running without hardware failure or interruption and ensuring system reliability and data availability rectifying the most stringent data storage applications, according to the folks at Enhance.
The UltraStor ES3160 FS utilizes sixteen (16x) hot-swappable disk trays with up to 32TB and is expandable up to 60TB total storage capacity (raw) via three (3x) ES3160 JS enterprise JBOD storage systems with SAS hard drives. It’s compatible with VMware ESX 3.5 and vSphere 4.0 servers, which allow users to take advantage of storage virtualization further reducing the investment on hardware & servers resulting in an immense savings on total cost of ownership.
