Mixamo (http://www.mixamo.com) has announced support for Autodesk 3ds
Max software biped system control rigs, streamlining animation
workflow for 3D artists and game developers.

Previously relying only on traditional motion-capture and keyframing
processes to animate biped characters, 3ds Max users are now able to
obtain access to Mixamo’s online collection of customizable,
motion-capture quality character motions and bake them directly onto
their bipeds.

Three Musketeers role playing game released for the Mac

Dingo Games has released The Three Musketeers: The Game
(http://www.dingogames.com/three-musketeers-game/) for the Mac.
Available exclusively online, the US$24.98 game closely follows the
plot of the original “Three Musketeers” novel. The adventure story
and the rarely used setting of 17th century France make this game a
unique experience.

DropFrame ready for Snow Leopard

LAJ Design has updated DropFrame
(http://www.lajdesignsw.com/dropframe/), a cross-platform application
that allows you to add a picture frame to your images, to version
1.0.4. The upgrade is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”)
and Windows 7.

With DropFrame you can either use a computer generated frame or use a
picture of a frame. If you use a picture of a frame, you can decide
if you want to have the frame picture scale to match the image or
have the frame picture tiled to the picture (to keep its original
proportions).

Zengobi has released Curio 6 (http://www.zengobi.com/curio), an
upgrade of the note taking, mind mapping, brainstorming, and task
management application for Mac OS X. The upgrade adds completely
style-able index cards for jotting down and organizing notes.

Version 6.1 also adds a decoration image well for associating an
image with a figure, smarter text exporting of multiply selected
figures and other features and fixtures.
