Version 7 of DivX 7 for the Mac
(http://www.divx.com/en/products/software/mac/divx) is here. The app
lets you play digital videos on your Mac, including high definition
H.264 (.mkv) videos with AAC audio and videos created using all
previous versions of DivX technology. You can also play your DivX
files (.divx, .avi) on millions of DivX Certified devices.

The free DivX for Mac download includes trial versions of the DivX
Pro Codec (a six-month trial) and DivX Converter (a 15-day trial).

M3X Media (http://www.mthreex.com) — a digital entertainment,
multimedia technology and services company — has announced the
availability of a free web-based application that the company says
transforms the iPhone mobile phone into “a multimedia entertainment
platform, unchained from Apple’s iTunes online music store.”

This coincides with the launch of the limited public beta test of
GRUVMe, a mobile service that brings together forms of digital
entertainment onto one platform, regardless of device type or service
provider.

Boris FX (http://www.borisfx.com), a developer of integrated effects
technology for video and film, has posted a public beta of Boris
Continuum Complete 6 FxPlug (BCC 6 FxPlug) for Apple pro video
applications.

BCC 6 FxPlug brings over 200 filters to Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion,
and Final Cut Express.

iPresentee (http://www.ipresentee.com), a developer of add-ons for
Apple’s iWork and iLife applications, has released Keynote Themes 4.0
and free Keynote themes to be used with Keynote. Keynote is Apple’s
presentation component of the US$79 iWork suite.

Keynote Themes 4.0 includes 10 new themes: Movie, Metallic, Plasma,
Chinese Symbols, Paper Flower, Paint Drops, Bamboo, Golden Ornament,
Reflection and Black in Red. Furthermore iPresentee offers to try
free Keynote themes: Chocolate, Autumn Colors, Red Cloud and Movie.

Apple has announced that movies from major film
studios including Paramount Pictures, Warner
Bros.
