Iospirit has updated Remote Buddy
(http://www.iospirit.com/remotebudd), Mac OS X software for
controlling Macs remotely, to version 1.1.4. The upgrade features a
major update to the app’s built-in AJAX Remote, a web 2.0 application
enabling iPhone and iPod touch users to control their Mac over their
local Wi-Fi network.

Remote Buddy costs US$27.50, though version 1.1.4 is a free update
for registered users. The software is Universal Binary so runs
natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. Remote Buddy requires Mac OS
X 10.4 (“Tiger”) or higher.

The addition of gesture control to Remote Buddy’s AJAX Remote allows
gesture control of everything that can be controlled by Remote Buddy.
Among many others, this includes Front Row, DVD Player, iTunes,
EyeTV, VLC, iPhoto, Preview, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Keynote,
Photobooth, Plex, Boxee, XBMC and Hulu Desktop.
