Boinx Software (http://www.boinx.com) has released version 3.0 of
FotoMagico, the slideshow creation tool for Mac OS X. The upgrade
simplifies the addition of photos with HD movies.
FotoMagico 3.0 has support for multiple audio tracks and an
integrated audio recorder so every show can be enhanced with
soundtrack, audio effects and narration. The new Instant Slideshow
Assistant helps to create presentations quickly. FotoMagico 3 Pro
includes the all-new PhotoPresenter 4, a quick presentation tool for
digital photographers.
The optional FotoMagico Remote allows to control FotoMagico 3 shows
with the iPhone or iPod touch. The new version provides direct access
to the libraries of iPhoto, Aperture or Lightroom libraries
(Pro-version only). You can mix high-resolution video provided by
current camera models such as the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS
500D (Rebel T1i) or Nikon D90 and Nikon D5000 with images. Movies can
be animated like image slides without re-encoding. An improved
storyboard offers in-place functionality and gives hints to further
speed up the authoring process.
Audio is enhanced in FotoMagico 3 Pro with three “intelligent” audio
tracks dedicated for music, sound effects and narration. Each track
has its own settings for Locked Timing and Ducking. The new built-in
audio recorder lets you add narration, while the presentation is
playing. Audio Ducking automatically lowers the volume of all other
audio tracks while the narrator is speaking.
The new Instand Slideshow Assistant helps photographers to create
presentations with even fewer clicks. The assistant takes care off
all settings. A fullscreen presentation can now be conveniently
remote controlled with FotoMagico Remote for the iPhone and iPod
touch.
FotoMagico 3 and the standalone player requires Mac OS X 10.5
(“Leopard”) and QuickTime 7.1 or newer. FotoMagico 3 Home is
available for US$29 and FotoMagico 3 Pro (including PhotoPresenter 4)
is available for $149. Commercial multi-user license discounts are
available upon request. FotoMagico Remote will be available soon at
the Apple App Store for $19.95.
