Griffin releases iTalk app for iPhone, iPod touch

Griffin Technology has released iTalk
(http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/italk), a new sound
recording app for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and second generation iPod
touch. This two-part app allows users to create high-quality
recordings, and then transfer the recordings to a Mac or PC.

iTalk offers one-touch recording controls, the ability to
pause/resume recordings and even append to previous recordings on the
fly. You can download the app from the Apple App Store and install it
on your iPhone or iPod touch, for mobile recording and playback.

Comm-Unity releases FTPit Pro 2.0 for FileMaker

Comm-Unity Networking Systems has released FTPit Pro 2.0 for
FileMaker Pro. FTPit Pro is a FileMaker 7+ rewrite of the Classic
FileMaker 6 FTPit plug-in.

With this plug-in you can transfer files, text, and entire
directories to and from your computer using the File Transfer
Protocol (FTP) all from within FileMaker Pro. This is the first
public 2.0 release of FTPit Pro and is available immediately at
http://ftpitpro.cnsplug-ins.com/ for both Mac OS X and Windows.

Fission update adds ability to save iPhone ringtones

Rogue Amoeba has updated its Fission audio editor
(http://www.rogueamoeba.com/fission/download.php) to version 1.6. The
upgrade has the ability to save iPhone ringtones, using almost any
audio file in any audio format supported by QuickTime. From MP3 to
MIDI and everywhere in-between, Fission lets users turn any audio
into a ringtone.

Users simply open their file in Fission, crop it down to the desired
portion of audio (40 seconds or fewer in length), then choose Save as
iPhone Ringtone.
