GigaTribe announces Web 2.0 file sharing service in the U.S.

GigaTribe (http://www.gigatribe.com), a free Web 2.0 file sharing
software community. has launched in the U.S. market. A free software
community, GigaTribe lets you share entire file folders of photos,
videos, music, and other files with your “tribe” of friends, family,
and coworkers in a private, completely encrypted peer to peer (P2P)
environment.

GigaTribe will be introduced in the U.S. for the first time at the
Euro Tech Showcase, held Nov. 18-19, 2008 in Redwood City,

LaCie introduces LaCinema Rugged drive

LaCie (http://www.lacie.com) has announced the LaCinema Rugged, which
the company says is the first multimedia hard disk with HDMI
connection. Mirroring the functionality and mobility of the Rugged
drive, LaCinema Rugged provides the convenience of a centralized
media library with a graphical interface and a remote control.

Designed by Neil Poulton, the Rugged features a scratch-resistant
aluminum shell, internal anti-shock absorbers, and a shock-resistant
rubber bumper to better protect media files against everyday

Frictional Games releases Penumbra: Requiem expansion pack for

Frictional Games has released Penumbra: Requiem
(http://www.penumbragame.com/) for Mac and Linux systems. The puzzle
expansion for Penumbra: Black Plague costs US$9.99. Also, Frictional
Games is offering all three Penumbra games as a collection for $35.

Penumbra: Requiem has previously been released for Windows by

maintenance update, including a new FileMaker Pro to SQLite migration
feature. FmPro This release also includes a new FmPro Migrator
preference file implementation and enhancements to Access database
migrations.

As the popularity of the SQLite grows, developers may choose to take
advantage of FmPro Migrator’s ability to easily copy FileMaker Pro

which purportedly more than doubles the battery life of iPhone 3G
while providing integrated sync and charge capabilities and complete
