will gather together once again for the 8th Annual FCPUG “SuperMeet”
to be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference
Center in San Francisco, California.

LaCie has announced an array of software tools to simplify the data
backup and system setup processes for LaCie consumer storage systems
customers. And the company also unveiled a new driver to improve the
performance for some of its USB products.
Starting this month, LaCie will ship the Intego Backup Assistant for
Mac users and Genie Backup Assistant for PC users with many of its
consumer storage products. Intego Backup Assistant is a backup
solution for Mac OS X derived from the Intego’sPersonal Backup X5
technology.
Tekkeon (http://www.tekkeon.com) has unveiled
myPower for iPhone, a leather sleeve that
purportedly doubles the iPhone battery life while
protecting the iPhone from everyday wear and
tear. A rechargeable, reliable and safe lithium
polymer battery is hidden within the sleeve.
What’s more myPower also acts as a dock, enabling
users to automatically sync and charge iPhone. It
sports a capacity indicator that provides the
power level in the battery. The battery can be
charged via a computer, or USB power adapter.
Luxology has announced that two new sets of videos focused on
architectural subjects have been added to the company’s growing
training library.
Using modo 302, Luxology’s 3D content creation software, the
“Architectural Modeling” video training album demonstrates how to
create an architectural model from a given set of dimensions, and the
“Architectural Interior: Lighting and Rendering” video album provides
techniques for creating day and night shots of a contemporary
interior living space.
