Aspyr today announced that it will be showcasing the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront, Friday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the monthly Aspyr game night at Austin’s Apple store. “Star Wars Battlefront is an open-ended single player and multiplayer action game, which allows players to re-live all of the epic battles from the classic and prequel Star Wars® film trilogies. Synergy Classic 1.9 for Mac OS X available

Wincent today announced the release of Synergy Classic 1.9, an iTunes accessory that allows users to control iTunes with hot keys and always-accessible menu bar controls. In addition, Synergy displays unobtrusive feedback about the currently playing track in the form of the semi-transparent “Floater” window. Version 1.9 delivers a number of key bug fixes, and updates have been made to ensure compatibility with Tiger. Synergy Classic 1.9 requires Mac OS X 10.2.2 or later, and is priced at US$10 (or €5). New Jobs biography to be released May 16

A story on Wired today reports that a new, unauthorized biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs is due to hit shelves May 16. According to the report, when the book, titled iCon, was sent to Apple for fact checking, the company demanded the title be changed. The publisher John Wiley & Sons refused and Apple pulled all the firm’s books from its retail stores. Due to the publicity resulting from Apple’s actions, Wiley doubled the print run and moved the book’s release date ahead by a month.
