A story on Wired today reports that a new, unauthorized biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs is due to hit shelves May 16. According to the report, when the book, titled iCon, was sent to Apple for fact checking, the company demanded the title be changed. The publisher John Wiley & Sons refused and Apple pulled all the firm’s books from its retail stores. Due to the publicity resulting from Apple’s actions, Wiley doubled the print run and moved the book’s release date ahead by a month. The story also contains an excerpt from the book.
