SpringCharts EMR to integrate with MacPractice MD

MacPractice and Spring Medical Systems today announced that they plan to integrate (this summer) MacPractice MD practice management software for physicians with SpringCharts EMR charting software for doctors and clinics to create the “first complete healthcare software solution designed especially for Mac OS X.” MacPractice software requires MySQL, available from MacPractice for its clients for US$250 per office, and a MacPractice software support and enhancements agreement.

Report: iPod market share tops 30 percent

According to a report released by market research firm In-Stat, Apple sold 8.4 million iPods in 2004 — a market share of over 30 percent, notes Tom’s Hardware Guide. “Apple’s iPod business model is running strong despite voices that have begun questioning the long-term success of the strategy. In-Stat reported that Apple sold nearly one third of all digital audio players in 2004.
