Audible has released new AudibleReady devices that allow Mac OS X users running iTunes 4 to download and listen to audiobooks, audio editions of newspapers, magazines and more onto audio-enabled handhelds from palmOne and Sony running Palm OS 5. Mark/Space unveils plans for new version of Missing Sync

Mark/Space today announced plans for the newest release of Missing Sync for Palm OS, to be released later this year in anticipation of the first Palm OS Cobalt devices. The newest member of the Missing Sync family will enable users to connect and synchronize information between Palm OS Cobalt devices and Macs running Mac OS X via USB, network, WiFi or Bluetooth. The new version, which will support all devices based on Palm OS 4.0 or higher, will also include synchronization support for Tapwave Zodiac handhelds.

Apple slapped with several new lawsuits

– In its quarterly report (SEC form 10-Q) filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Tuesday, Apple revealed that it is a defendent in a number of recent lawsuits—including five dealing with the iPod’s battery. Apple said five separate plaintiffs—known only by their last names of Craft, Chin, Hughes, Westley, and Keegan—filed purported class-action cases alleging misrepresentations relating to iPod battery life.
