Mac OS X Innovators Contest winners announced
Today at the O’Reilly Mac OS X Conference, the winners of the second annual Mac OS X Innovators Contest were announced. In the US category, Delicious Library took top honors, while Curio claimed second place. First place winner in the International category was FotoMagico, and the second place winner was iDive.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs and U2’s Bono and The Edge were quickly interviewed on CNBC’s Street Signs following Apple’s special music event in San Jose today. The trio showed off Apple’s new iPod Photo and the new U2 iPod, and talked about the business relationship between Apple and the band. “Our position on sponsorship hasn’t changed,” said The Edge. “It has always been that we do not sell our reputation or our fans regard for our work to anybody. But this is a different thing. This is a technology partnership.

Apple will broadcast highlights from today’s special music event via satellite starting at 3:30 p.m. ET. The event, which took place at the California Theater in San Jose, brought the new iPod Photo and iPod U2 Special Edition. There is no word on if there will be a QuickTime version posted.
