Unsanity today released ShapeShifter 2.0, a major update its Mac OS X customization software. Version 2.0 offers icon customization, cursor changing, speed improvements, and individual user settings. ShapeShifter lets you change the overall appearance of Mac OS X — including the look of windows, menus, apps, buttons, etc. — using themes. ShapeShifter is priced at US$20.

In addition to the iPod Photo and U2 iPod, Apple also introduced today a set of colored “socks” for carrying iPods. Packaged similar to real socks, the iPod Socks will come in six different color combinations (what appeared to be green, blue, grey, orange, pink, aqua) for US$29.
