andX Software today announced the release of KidsBrowser 1.5.5, a Web browser designed specifically for children. KidsBrowser is powered by Apple’s Safari HTML engine and allows the user (parent) to preset authorized Web pages that their child is allowed to visit. In addition, the application runs in full-screen mode, so the Mac OS X system is inaccessible to the child using the browser. Version 1.5.5 offers a new powerful assistant to setup all functions in 10 steps, better performance and stability, and a few bug fixes. KidsBrowser requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later and is priced at US$29.
