As of version 6.0, Polycom WebOffice — a personal conferencing portal solution that enables instant, ad-hoc video calls for group and desktop video users — supports Mac and Linux environments. It also offers deeper video integration (it can detect whether users are video-enabled), advanced video control (you can control the video and voice aspects of the conference on the fly), and expanded server options. Participants using a Mac or Linux system are supported through a light Web client. WebOffice’s new volume-based pricing structure ranges from US$200 per seat to $25 per seat.
