Way 1.0 creates business documents

Jumsoft today announced Way 1.0, an “easy-to-use and powerful” application for creating business documents. The software comes with several built-in templates for memos, letters, faxes, agendas, reports and more. Way 1.0 lets you export created documents into PDF format for universal compatibility. According to the developer, the US$30 program runs on both Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar and 10.3 Panther.

Backup 1.2.3 update released

Several readers note that Apple has released Backup 1.2.3, a new version of its archiving software for .Mac members. Improvements in the new version are not yet known. Recent new versions have brought the ability to backup your Safari settings and music you buy from the iTunes Music Store.

File swappers ‘buy more music’

BBC News reports on a new survey that suggests music fans who download songs from the Web go on to buy more albums. Market research firm Music Programming Ltd (MPL) said 87% of its respondents who downloaded music said they bought albums after hearing tracks through the Internet. “Downloading is actually a ‘try before you buy’ tool for a significant amount of people,” an MPL spokesperson said.
