Pangea’s ‘Billy Frontier’ goes alpha

Pangea Software today announced that its current game in production, Billy Frontier, has gone alpha and should be available by the end of July or the first week of August. Billy Frontier is an arcade style action game where you play a space cowboy named Billy Frontier. The game is made up of four different types of mini-games: Duels, Shootouts, Stampedes, and Target Practices. Pricing has not been set, but it is expected to be around US$14.95 by download only.

Final Cut Pro users to gather in NYC

The Final Cut Pro User Group (FCPUG) Network, which consists of over 25 FCP user groups from around the world, have arranged to meet at the New Yorker Hotel in New York City on Thursday, July 17 during the Macworld CreativePro Expo. Guests for the event include Apple’s Brian Schmidt, who will demo DVD Studio Pro 2, and Final Cut Pro Product Manager Paul Saconne, who will demo “What’s new and what you should know in FCP 4.” The meeting will be open to the public on a first come-first seated basis with doors opening at 5:00 p.m.
