Apimac Slide Show 6.0 released

Apimac today announced the release of Apimac Slide Show 6.0, a new version of its slide show and presentation tool for multimedia files. Apimac Slide Show 6.0 comes in two editions: Standard (US$29.99) and Professional ($49.99). The Standard Edition includes the ability to export standalone presentations to run under Mac OS X and Mac OS 9. The Pro edition implements a new Windows Standalone Presentation compiler, which makes it possible to run standalone presentations on Windows PC.

FirewireDirect offers new FireWire 800 drives

FirewireDirect today announced the Ultra III 800 line of external 3.5-inch hard drives. The new drives feature both FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces, and are available in the following capacities: 80GB (US$229), 120GB ($249), 160GB ($309), 200GB ($369), 250GB ($469), and 320GB ($549). A drive-less enclosure is also available for $139.
