Free Update Now With Support for Finder Labels and More
BEDFORD, Mass. – December 17, 2003 – Bare Bones Software today
announced the immediate availability of Super Get Info 1.2, an update
to its Super Get Info utility offering a powerful alternative to the
Mac OS X Finder’s Get Info command.
Super Get Info 1.2 adds the ability to modify the Finder labels for
selected items, plus adds several features to assist developers, such
as the ability to locate a file by its file system catalog
information. Version 1.2 also includes several other enhancements,
such as an option to suppress alias resolution when running on Mac OS
X 10.3, as well as fixes for reported issues.
“Super Get Info brings power and elegance to the task of managing
attributes of multiple files,” said Rich Siegel, founder and CEO of
Bare Bones Software. “The new Catalog Info commands are particularly
useful for developers debugging HFS code.”
The Super Get Info 1.2 update now requires Mac OS X 10.2 and is
available free of charge to all registered Super Get Info customers.
An update package is available for download from the Bare Bones

Power and Flexibility, Easy Navigation
Super Get Info is a file and folder information utility for Mac OS X,
offering a powerful, flexible, user-friendly alternative to the “Get
Info” command provided by the Mac OS X Finder. Using an easily
navigable tabbed interface, or the ‘sgi’ command-line tool, the user
can open a separate information window for each selected Finder item,
so that multiple selected items can be viewed and edited discretely.
Super Get Info also allows the user to view and edit the Mac OS type
and creator codes for a given file; view and edit the Unix owner,
group, and permission settings for any file or folder; and change a
file’s creation and modification dates.
More information, including a fully-funtional 30-day demo, is
available from the Bare Bones Software web site:
Pricing and Availability
Super Get Info is available immediately, priced at US$20 and can be
purchased at the Bare Bones Software online store.
