Sony today added two new digital cameras to its lineup. The 8 megapixel DSC-F828 (shown at right), which offers a maximum image size of 3360×2460 pixels, is encased in a black, magnesium alloy body, and is the first camera to incorporate Sony’s recently announced four-color filter CCD technology and Real Imaging Processor. Also announced was the Cyber-shot DSC-U50, a small two megapixel digital camera available in three different colors. The DSC-F828 will be available in November for about $1200 and the Cyber-shot DSC-U50 will be available in early October for about $250.
