BusinessWeek reports that companies are finding the combination of Mac OS X and Xserve “a viable, sometimes cheaper, alternative to Windows-based networks.” The publication talks with three companies about Mac server solutions, including RiskWise, which screens credit-card applications and does fraud detection, and Target Health, a pharmaceutical research company. Several analysts also offer their view on Apple’s server strategy. “I call their enterprise strategy an oxymoron,” said Charles Wolf of Needham & Co. “They don’t have an enterprise strategy.”
