WildPackets today announced the release of an update to its Mac OS X version of EtherPeek network traffic and protocol analyzer. EtherPeek for Mac 4.2 offers Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) support, improved capture performance, enhanced Packet Decoders, expanded support of Mac plug-ins, and more. EtherPeek for Mac carries a suggested retail price of US$695 and requires Mac OS 10.2.4 or later. Current maintenance owners receive the new upgrade free of charge, and a demo version is also available. (Site not updated at press time.)
