Acquisition 0.94 is the latest version of Xlife’s Mac OS X client for the gnutella peer-to-peer file sharing network. This release adds support for browsing hosts via “acquisition://” URLs. It also lets you keep browsed hosts in the search drawer persistently. “These enhancements together mean that Acquisition can now closely match the behavior of the (since terminated) iTunes network sharing feature,” explains the developer. “For example, a user can easily send his Acquisition URL to a friend who can then directly browse his shared files in Acquisition.” Acquisition requires Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) and is US$15 shareware.
