Apple today announced Final Cut Express, a new application based on the company’s Final Cut Pro movie editing software and optimized for the DV format. Final Cut Express includes such features as the same interface and workflow as Final Cut Pro, powerful video editing tools, hundreds of special effects and easy delivery to DVD, Web or tape. Final Cut Express requires Mac OS X 10.2 “Jaguar” and is available now for a suggested retail price of US$299.
