Apple: Fun for under $1 million

The June issue of Esquire magazine, which has long supported Apple, plugs the company’s wares in its “Man at His Best” column. Among the 23 ways the magazine suggests to “Have fun for under $1 million” is “Make a 30-second ad for yourself using Final Cut Pro 3 ($999) on your brand-new, top-of-the-line Power Mac G4 ($3,849) with a 23-inch flat-panel Cinema HD Display ($3,499), then buy time for it during Malcom in the Middle ($350,000).” More conservative spenders may wish to forgo the Malcom spot.

Tenon mail server gains list server capabilities

Tenon today announced that Post.Office, its mail server for Mac OS X, now features list serving capabilities. Post.Office 3.5.3 can handle hundreds of mailing lists with thousands of subscribers. Pricing for Post.Office follows a sliding scale, with a starter package available for US$295 that supports 100 mailboxes and 10 mailing lists. A free version is available that supports 10 mailboxes and two mailing lists.
