Your Mac Life, an Internet-based Mac radio show hosted by Shawn King, has announced its lineup for tonight’s broadcast (21:00 – 23:00 ET).

Northern Softworks today announced the release of Login Items Engine 1.0, the company’s new utility to simplify the launching of items at startup or login. It does this by creating a Login Items folder in the users home directory, which functions much like the startup items folder in Classic — users simply have to drag documents, applications, alias files, etc. in and out of the folder as desired to have them launch at startup. Login Items Engine is distributed as freeware.

Earlier today we noted that Griffin had released iMate Driver 1.5 Fix. The company has now released iMate driver X 1.5.1, the latest driver allowing the iMate USB to ADB adapter to work with OS X ADB drivers as well as some devices in Classic. Version 1.5.1 adds support for many non-input devices in Classic.

Wordware Publishing has announced that Chris Moyer and Bob Bowers have released their new book, Advanced FileMaker Pro 5.5 Techniques for Developers. The book, which seeks to help FileMaker developers build complex applications, is the first of three upcoming titles from the authors in the Wordware Developer’s Library.
