Glucose updates WeatherPop, releases WeatherPop Advance

Glucose Development has released WeatherPop 1.1, an update to its Mac OS X utility that places current weather conditions in the menu bar. The update allows the software to function on systems that don’t have the BSD Subsystem installed, and also adds black and white icons. Additionally, WeatherPop Advance was released today, which offers a five-day forecast and additional weather information in the menu. WeatherPop Advance is US$8 shareware.

Unsanity updates FruitMenu, Silk haxies

Unsanity has released FruitMenu 2.0 and Silk 1.1, as noted by MacUpdate. FruitMenu 2.0 allows users to customize the Apple menu. Version 2.0 adds the ability to customize the Contextual menu with such functions as “Open with”, “Set Desktop”, and navigating mounted volumes. Silk 1.1 offers various small improvements to the haxie that implements Quartz text anti-aliasing in all Carbon applications under Mac OS X.
