MCE started shipping the 24x10x24x Lucid portable FireWire CD-RW today, the fastest portable CD-RW to date. The new Lucid costs US$299.00 and comes bundled with Toast Lite software and a one-year warranty; the company reduced the price of the 16x10x24x Lucid to $239.00.

Fujifilm today introduced its own branded version of DiskOnKey’s USB Flash drive. The translucent clear and blue USB Drive is available in capacities ranging from 32MB to 512MB and are driverless and cross-platform compatible. Pricing is based on capacity; the 128MB model costs $149.99 — additional pricing information is unclear.

FMR Corp., investment advisor to Fidelity, said in an SEC filing Wednesday that it has halved its stake in Apple. FMR currently holds 17.8 million shares of Apple, or 4.99 percent, down from 36.4 million on April 10, according to Reuters. Shares of Apple are down more than $6 since April.
