Are Gadgets Already Too Small?

In his New York Time’s column today, David Pogue explores the future of gadgets, noting that “the whole exercise should be considered slightly less scientific than the horoscope column at the back of a teen fashion magazine.” Pogue is scheduled to deliver a feature presentation at Macworld Expo titled “Toward Mac OS XX” where he will examine what might be in store for technology come 2020.

Classic puzzle game comes to Mac OS X

Factor Software has released MacPipes X, a Mac OS X version of its classic puzzle game that challenges players to a build a pipeline of a required length from pieces they are presented with in a limited amount of time. The game is based on the 80’s Amiga game called Pipeline and was first released in 1995. MacPipes X is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 and later and is provided as US$7.50 shareware.

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) today posted a special page on their Web site
(http://www.ucpnyc.org/maccentral/maccentralitems.cfm) for people
interested in supporting the MacCentral Mosaic Project 2002. There are
three separate products available to order from UCP’s Web site: The Mosaic
poster; postcards; and a CD.

The Mosaic poster is a 32 x 24-inch replica of the Mosaics that will be up
for auction when Macworld Conference & Expo opens next week.
