Sybase announces ASE 12.5 Early Adopter Program
Sybase today announced its Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) Early Adopter Program, which offers free use of ASE 12.5 on Mac OS X, the first major enterprise-class relational database management system to ship to Mac developers, until the final version of the product ships. The program also offers free newsgroup support. ASE 12.5 will be priced at US$1,495 when it ships in September.

El Gato Software today announced EyeTV, a TiVo-like digital video recorder. EyeTV allows users watch TV on their Mac, record programs to their hard drive for viewing later, pause live television, skip commercials, instantly replay a scene, or watch in slow motion. EyeTV includes a 124-channel cable-ready TV tuner and MPEG encoder to digitize and send TV signals to your Mac over a USB cable.
