Apple will reportedly announce its first International retail store on Wednesday, according to c|net. The store will be located in Amsterdam; no further information is available. Also on Wednesday, Apple will open its latest U.S. retail store, in New York City’s SoHo district.

Sybase today announced its Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) Early Adopter Program, which offers free use of ASE 12.5 on Mac OS X, the first major enterprise-class relational database management system to ship to Mac developers, until the final version of the product ships. The program also offers free newsgroup support. ASE 12.5 will be priced at US$1,495 when it ships in September.

El Gato Software today announced EyeTV, a TiVo-like digital video recorder. EyeTV allows users watch TV on their Mac, record programs to their hard drive for viewing later, pause live television, skip commercials, instantly replay a scene, or watch in slow motion. EyeTV includes a 124-channel cable-ready TV tuner and MPEG encoder to digitize and send TV signals to your Mac over a USB cable.

Canon today announced three new Bubble Jet printers and two new CanoScan scanners. The S330 is Canon’s newest entry-level printer, replacing the S300 and featuring borderless printing. The S530D and S830D are direct photo printers, allowing users to print directly from a digital camera’s memory card without a computer.

SONICblue announced the Rio 900 today, the latest iteration of its Flash memory-based digital audio player. The Rio 900 features 192MB of memory, a 10-hour battery, adjustable EQ, and iTunes compatibility. Upgradeable memory backpacks can add an additional 128MB of storage to the device. The Rio 900 is available now for US$249.95.
