Jobs comments on using Intel microchips

In a Reuters report published yesterday on Apple’s new product announcements and the industry’s economic downturn, some analysts suggested that Apple move away from Motorola microchips and instead move to Intel chips. When asked about this, Jobs’ remarked that first the company had to complete the transition to Mac OS X, expected at the end of this year. “Then we’ll have options, and we like to have options,” he said.

Sonny Software announces Bookends 7.2

Sonny Software has announced Bookends 7.2, an update to its bibliography, reference and information management system. New features include an expanded term list view of all references containing a particular name or term, instantly updating database search, enhanced proofreading scan with correction of unmatched citations, and improved handling of attachments, among others. Bookends 7.2 is priced at US$99 ($69 for students); Sonny Software is also offering a special price to EndNote users who switch to Bookends, for $69 ($49 students).
