Steve Jobs resigns from Gap’s Board of Directors

Gap, Inc. today announced that Apple and Pixar CEO Steve Jobs resigned from Gap’s Board of Directors earlier this week to “focus on other priorities,” as noted by iPoding. “On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank Steve for his contributions,” said Gap Chairman Donald Fisher. Penny Hughes, a former Coca-Cola executive in Europe will take Jobs’ spot on the company’s Board.

IBM DB2 for Mac OS X survey posted

IBM is currently running a survey on its Web site aimed at Mac OS X Users, ISVs, VARs, Enterprise, and SMB customers in order to gauge interest in porting the company’s DB2 database management software to Mac OS X. Spamfire updated for Jaguar

Matterform Media today announced that Spamfire, its powerful anti-spam email filter, has been updated for Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). Spamfire 1.21 adds support for the Jaguar Address Book, better integration with Apple’s Mail.app, and fixes a bug that made the Spamfire application icon disappear in Jaguar.
