Apple and IDG World Expo have launched this year’s Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco first-time exhibitor discount packages for Apple Developer Connection (ADC) Premier and Select members. The first package, priced at US$5,500, includes a 10′ x 10′ exhibit space and all of the basic materials for constructing the booth. A second sponsorship package, priced at $7,000, includes the same space and materials as well as a 1/4 page, four-color ad in the Macworld Program & Buyer’s Guide and the company’s logo on the show’s Web site.

VideoClix 2.4 adds Quicktime 6/MPEG-4 support

Eline Technologies has released VideoClix 2.4, the latest update to its interactive video authoring software. Version 2.4 adds Quicktime 6/MPEG-4 support, compatibility with videos other than 600 timescale, and includes several bug fixes. VideoClix is available for Mac OS 8.6 or higher and Mac OS X, priced at US$399. The company also announced that for the month of October it will be offering VideoClix 2.4 and Live Channel Pro 1.4.2 for $1049 (regularly $1400).

Details emerge on Macworld Expo Boston

Boston mayor Thomas Menino and an IDG World Expo spokeswoman both said yesterday that the return of Macworld Expo to Boston is virtually a done deal, reports the Boston Globe. ”There’s still some T’s being crossed and I’s being dotted,” said IDG World Expo spokeswoman Brooke Selby. But she confirmed that the city will be holding a news conference on October 17 to announce that the show will be moving back to Boston in July 2004.
