Unsanity today released Labels X 1.0, the company’s latest haxie that adds file labeling features to Mac OS X. Labels X allows users to apply various color tints to file icons and sort the files by label, giving more options in organizing files. The haxie also shares the same file label information with Mac OS 9. Labels X is US$7 shareware.

Apple has kicked off a new promotion that offers customers up to US$3,000 off Shake 2.5 for Mac OS X, its industry-leading compositing and visual effects software. Apple to open Orlando retail store

Apple will open a retail store store in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, October 19 at 10:00 AM ET, according to Apple’s retail page. The store is opening at The Mall at Millenia, which will have its grand opening the day before. The new mall, located at 4200 Conroy Road in Orlando, is described as “1.2 million square feet of superb architecture on two incredible levels of the best national and international retailers in the world.”
