Planar Systems today announced the launch of its new family of premium flat-panel desktop monitors featuring “a first-of-its-kind base that provides users with resistance-free swivel, pivot and height adjustments.” The first model in the new PX line is the 17″ PX171M display with ultra-thin bezels and a panel depth of two inches. The display offers 1280 x 1024 resolution, analog and digital (DVI) inputs, 16 ms response time, and integrated speakers. The PX171M is available in white, black or silver and sells for US$589.
