XNET ANNOUNCES NEW VERSION OF CAPTAIN FTP 1.4 FOR MAC OS X
Hamburg, Germany, September 25th 2002 — Xnet Communication the independent
software vendor with core business in data communication high-end solutions
announces the release of Captain FTP version 1.4 – “Yes it works with
With Captain FTP 1.4 we start a new stage of life of this software. From a
rebellious FTP child Captain FTP became a strong, young sailor ready to
work in the most dangerous areas of data connectivity.
Captain FTP 1.4 is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 – Jaguar. And it is
offcourse backwards compatible up to version 10.0. Besides this we had a
close look on the wishes of our existing customers, so we made additional
improvements for displaying and working with special national characters.
Captain FTP 1.4 is available in English, German and French. On special
demand we are able to deliver a Chinese version as well.

whose do not only use Captain FTP as a simply FTP client, but they use it
as a complementary solution for their web maintenance. Taking these things
into consideration we have decided to enhance capabilities of cooperation
