Minolta today introduced the DiMAGE Xi, a 3.3-megapixel digital camera featuring a 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, and the “world’s fastest start-up time” (1.2 seconds). The DiMAGE Xi’s body is made of aluminum with a brushed stainless-steel faceplate, and is approximately 3/4 of an inch thick. The camera also includes a 16MB SD memory card, user-selectable ISO settings, optional date imprinting, spot autofocus, an anti-reflection LCD, automatic email file copy creation, and the ability to make movie clips and add audio to still images.
