Hi Resolution Systems has announced MacAdministrator 3.0, a new version of its administration and control program for Macs in a networked environment. The update will be released in two stages: an initial public beta version will be released on August 19, and a full-featured public beta one month later that will include the ability to configure the Jaguar protection standard and print control for Mac OS X 10.2, while maintaining independence of server platform and direct connectivity. MacAdministrator 3.0 will include all of the features within MacAdministrator 2.5 and new features applicable to both Mac OS 8/9 and Mac OS X systems.
