Online Mac users are more educated, live in higher income households, and are more familiar with the Internet than their PC counterparts, a new study from Nielsen/NetRatings finds. As reported by AtNewYork.com (and noted by MacSurfer), the study found that 70.2 percent of Mac users have a college or postgraduate degree, compared to just 54.2 percent of the overall online population. Additionally, Mac users are 58 percent more likely to build a Web page and 53 percent more likely to seek out online product reviews, while they are less likely to read horoscopes or play online games.
