Yamaha’s CWR-F1, the industry’s first 24x CD-RW drive (noted yesterday), will begin shipping in mid-July as an internal IDE drive. FireWire+USB 2.0 and SCSI external models will follow suit in late August, a Yamaha spokesperson informs us. Pricing has yet to be established but will be announced later this week.
