Adobe today announced that the company received a favorable verdict in its intellectual property case against Macromedia. The jury found Macromedia willfully infringed upon Adobe’s patent regarding the tabbed palette interface and ordered the company to pay Adobe US$2.8 million in damages. In its own statement, Macromedia said it “expects no material impact from this judgment on the Company’s financial condition or market leadership.”
