New to the software this year is a Tax Law Advisor, which explains how the new tax laws will impact individuals; 401k Maximizer for analyzing the growth of your 401K plan; a Ten Year Forecaster that shows an individual’s current and future tax liability; and other features. TurboTax Deluxe for Mac carries a US$49.95 price tag.

Transmit 1.7b2 released

Panic Software has announced the release of Transmit 1.7b2, the latest version of their Macintosh FTP client. This release focuses largely on the Mac OS X version of the software. It is significantly faster than 1.7b1, is more compatible, fixes a number of small bugs, and introduces a Mac OS 9 build.
